WE HAVE A NEW CURRICULUM! -This year, we are exploring a new curriculum for our 1st-6th graders called The Way of the Child. There is something really different about it – our rooms look different, our focus is different, and even the way the SS hour is structured is different. All this “different” stuff may seem a bit unsettling – but “different” can also be exciting and wonderful. And it is turning out to be just that – already we are hearing very positive feedback from our teachers, students, and parents alike.

• Did you know that our new curriculum is published by the Upper Room – the same people who bring you those wonderful devotional books that we enjoy.
   

• Did you know that this curriculum is very popular – it’s being used in lots of churches right here in Pennsylvania and throughout our country – mostly Methodists, but also some Presbyterians, and even other UCC churches. It is the one curriculum recommended more than any other by our PSEC Christian Education expert Mary Sichar.

• Did you know that there are lots of Bible Stories being taught along with this curriculum’s strong focus on helping children to experience God right now in their lives.

• Did you know that those churches who have been using The Way of the Child for more than six months are reporting that the teachers are finding that they are experiencing God more in their lives as a result of leading their children in the program. Isn’t that great – and you still have the opportunity to experience this new curriculum for yourselvesas a teacher or host/hostess in the classrooms.
