Ash Wednesday every year marks the beginning of the Lenten season in all churches. This year’s Ash Wednesday falls on February 18th.
A Communion service will be offered at the church at 7pm that evening, including the imposition of ashes for those who would like to come forward. Please note that the service this year will be at 7pm, and not 7:30pm.
For those of our church, and also those of our local community, individual ashes and blessings will be offered at the church from 11:30-1:30pm that day. These two offerings, both daytime and evening, will be placed on Facebook, and the sign will be placed out front.
Ash Wednesday is the perfect way to begin our journey with Jesus toward Jerusalem and the cross, as we remember again his loving sacrifice for our salvation.
